REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR MY 4 Week VIRTUAl WORKSHOP!
Acting WorkshopsI offer in-depth acting workshops throughout the year to help you keep your instrument sharp. This includes a monthly workshop series based on availability, and every so often a 6- or 8-week Workshop Intensive.
I structure my acting workshops to give each actor the individual attention they need. You will work with a small group of 8 - 10 people, within a 3 to 4 hour time slot depending on the number of people enrolled. My workshops are open to both professional actors and recent graduates. BIPOC MONOLOGUE CLASS
(Offered Summer 2020)
"During this very racial and social time of injustice I imagine many artists need a safe place and a safe space to express themselves around others who understand and empathize with their plight. One way that I embark on the journey of healing during this time is by embracing and celebrating my identity through my craft as an artist; doing so allows me to feel empowered.
"What’s the purpose of art or more specifically ACTING if not to illuminate humanity? We as actors are fortunate to have a body of work of writers, present and past, that encapsulate what we may be feeling at this very tenuous time. We are able to find that timeless excerpt within a play that magically speaks directly to our pain. This then allows us to speak to power and stand fully within who we are and what we believe.
"I am creating a new Online Zoom Monologue Class for BIPOC Artists only. I invite you to join me every Monday, starting July 13th - August 31st from 5 - 7 pm to unabashedly and passionately express your fears, pains, worries, rage, sorrows or otherwise using any piece of text, play or monologue of your liking.
"This is a dual opportunity that allows you a gateway into your craft and a means to sharpen your skill in order to continuously blossom as an artist. I will support and guide you and together we will shape your piece into a beautiful and useful work of art. No matter the style, contemporary or classical, bring the text that speaks to you the most and I will provide you any missing tools to lift it off the page, place it into your heart, and put it forth into the world as a beacon of hope."
